National Geographic has an article what i considers to be the top 8 astronomical events in 2018. They are:

  1. January 31: Super Blue Moon Eclipse
  2. March 7-8: Planet Parade
  3. July 15: Moon Meets Venus
  4. July 27: Total Lunar Eclipse
  5. July 27: Mars at Its Best
  6. August 11: Partial Solar Eclipse
  7. August 12-13: Perseid Meteor Shower
  8. December 12: Comet Encounter
