The Sacramento Bee has published its best bets for fall color for the coming week. This may well be the last week for good fall color in the Eastern Sierra. Suggestions for the best fall color this coming week:
- Christmas Valley
- June Lake Loop is the best “mountain” color but some areas are down.
- Lee Vining Canyon is still showing color and some color is left in Lundy Canyon. Lundy will be finished after this weekend.
- pockets of color in the Bishop Park and Sabrina Basin.
- Antelope Valley’s heritage cottonwoods
- Bishop and Round Valley.
