Wildflower Wonders: 50 Best Wildflower Spots In The World

I had my first look at Wildflower Wonders: 50 Best Wildflower Spots In The World, by Bob Gibbons, one of England’s top nature photographers.  I originally wrote about it, and included photos from the book in May: 50 Best Wildflower Spots In The World.

The book did not disappoint.  There are descriptions of fifty wildflower hotspots including landscapes, habitats, when to go, and highlight flowers.  There are excellent photos of both landscapes and flowers.  It includes information rich lists of additional wildflower hotspots, websites of helpful contacts in each country, natural history tour operators, and a useful bibliography of books about many of the locations. It is an excellent resource for planning where to go on your next trip or  to just be enjoyed for its photos and information.

Bob recently received a Gold Medal at the Royal Horticultural Society’s annual show for a collection of 16 photographs on the theme ‘the world’s most flowery places’. This is a special recognition as this award is not given out every year.
