Natural History Wanderings

Point Reyes National Seashore currently has limited services and limited resources. Visitors should anticipate no cell phone coverage, no electric vehicle charging stations and limited local services in nearby tow. Phones will be down as well. There will be limited emergency services and there is also poor air quality, “Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups.” We are currently under a Red Flag warning. The Bear Valley Visitor Center is currently open but without power. All other park buildings do not have power. Very little fuel at gas stations in Marin County so starting with a full tank of gas is imperative. Be aware that stoplights will probably not be functional so take care at intersections and operate your vehicle safely. Stay safe! (ca)
