Mt. Rainier Wildflowers 8/1/2018

Mt. Rainier National Park reports

Conditions vary on the different sides of Mount Rainier and that is reflected in the wildflowers. On the drier eastern slopes, subalpine meadows are hitting peak bloom. Tipsoo, easily accessible from SR410, has a lush variety of blooming flowers including lupine, false hellbore (aka corn lily), magenta paintbrush, arrowleaf groundsel and more. Can’t make the drive? See some of Tipsoo’s wildflowers in a new Mountain Moment video!
