So many wild flowers still to be found along the trail!

Blooming now! Havard Penstemon (Penstemon havardii) blooms through much of the spring, summer, and fall in mid to high elevations. These red flowers attract butterflies and hummingbirds, while finches and songbirds are known to perch on the stalks and remove the flowers to access nectar. ‪
