Southern Utah Fall Color Report 9/14/15

Fall Color Report | Scenic Southern Utah has a new fall color report

High Elevation – Alpine Brian Head, Cedar Breaks and Panguitch Lake
Percent of Change: MODERATE Color Report: Leaf peepers are reporting that there is about a 30% change in color in the high elevations with plenty of green still to change. The temperatures are supposed to warm this weekend (highs around 60) but another cold front is predicted to travel through the area first part of next week which will help to turn more of the trees. With the warm temps this will make for the perfect get-a-way and fingers crossed the rain next week will bring the rest of the trees to peak making the weekend of the 26th even better.

Mid Elevation – Sub-Alpine Parowan Canyon and Cedar Canyon Area
Percent of Change: LOW Color Report: The leaves are just beginning to change in the mid elevation with a few golden yellows, vibrant oranges and reds. With cooler weather in the forecast next week you can expect more leaves to turn and by the second or third week in October they may reach peak.

Low Elevation – High Valley Cedar City and Kolob Canyons Area
Percent of Change: LOW Color Report: At this time there is no change of color in the lower elevations.
