Birding & Photos: Emeryville Shoreline 10/10/14

High Tide is a good time to see birds along the rocky shoreline in Emeryville. Today’s 6.4 foot tide was the highest of the month. Many Marbled Godwits and Willets with about a half-dozen Whimbrels were roosting along the rocky area south of the road and sidewalk.

We also went along the Marina. I was able to identify 14 species. There were three Pelagic Cormorants and three Black Oystercatchers. I didn’t count but arm pretty sure I was hearing Yellow-rumped Warblers in the trees. No Canada Goose today.  Here is my list Emeryville Shoreline Bird List 10/10/14
