Wayne Roderick Lectures Schedule
from the Regional Parks Botanic Garden
Join us for our popular Wayne Roderick Lecture series on a broad array of topics related to plants and natural history. The talks take place on Saturday mornings starting at 10:30 a.m. in the Botanic Garden Visitor Center auditorium. These presentations are enjoyable for beginners and professionals alike. All lectures are free and open to the public.
11/7: Bart O’Brien: News of What’s Next and What You May Have Missed at RPBG 2026-2027. A lot has been going on during 2026 and it looks like 2027 will bring a number of exciting new plants and features to the Botanic Garden.
11/14: Bart O’Brien: Botany of the Clark Mountains of Eastern San Bernardino County. The Clark Mountains harbor a distinctive flora due to their position in the eastern Mojave Desert, where there are two overlapping floras: one is reliant on our more typical winter rainfall while the other is completely dependent on summer monsoonal rains.
11/21: TBA
11/28: No Lecture – enjoy the holidays!
12/5: Michael Uhler – a Sierran topic (title TBA)
