Southern Utah Fall Color 9/30/14

Scenic Southern Utah reports

High Elevation – AlpineBrian Head, Cedar Breaks and Panguitch Lake
Percent of Change:PEAK
Color Report: Reports are coming in that the leaves in the High Mountain/Dry Lakes area are going to peak this week. Also the leaves around Brian Head Town have dropped leaves off about 50% of the trees but there is still remaining color. The drive through the high elevation is still quite pretty. There is more snow and freezing temperatures forecasted this week so the little color that is left may not last long.

Woods Ranch – Hwy 14 Mid Elevation – Sub-AlpineParowan Canyon and Cedar Canyon Area
Percent of Change:MODERATE
Color Report:Leaf watchers are reporting that the leaves in the mid elevation are changing in the Woods Ranch area, several of the aspen groves have turned vibrant yellow and as the weather continues to cool and with a storm forecasted this weekend more colors will continue to appear in the mid elevation. Please check back for regular updates.

Parowan Library Low Elevation – High ValleyCedar City and Kolob Canyons Area
Percent of Change:LOW
Color Report: Reports are predicting that the leaves in low elevations will start changing mid to late October
