Yosemite National Park Campground & Fire Updates 8/4/14

Yosemite National Park reports on its Facebook page

The Bridalveil Creek Campground has reopened. And the Crane Flat Campground will partially reopen tomorrow, August 5. The first three loops 79 sites will be available on http://www.recreation.gov/ tonight until 9 pm PDT for arrivals starting tomorrow. Beginning tomorrow, campground rangers will be available at the Crane Flat Campground kiosk to sell one night only.

Fire is not very noticeable today. While the fire continues to burn on the interior, the rest of it is creeping and smoldering. The fire is 4,689 acres and is 96% contained. http://www.nps.gov/yose/blogs/fireinfo.htm
