Th BBC reported on the ability of Sloths to breath normally while hanging upside down. Sloths can spend up to 90% of their lives hanging upside down yet are able breathing normally. Researchers found that sloths have a way of fixing their internal organs to the rib cage. This prevents the stomach, liver, kidneys and even the bowels and bladder from pressing on the diaphragm and allows them to breath normally when hanging upside down.
