I had a mid-day break so we went over the Richmond Bay Trail for the King Tide. We had hoped to see Clapper Rails but they were not to be found. (We heard they were seen yesterday). We did see 14 Wilson’s Snipe. One birder told us he had seen 15 and reported yesterday someone saw 20. Birds in greatest abundance were American Wigeon, Green-winged Teal, Northern Shoveler, Scaup, American Coots, American Avocets, Willets and Whimbrels. We were able to identify 35 species today. today’s birds: Richmond Bay Trail Bird List 1/30/14.
