ScienceDaily reported on the threat feral cats pose to the Yelkouan Shearwater on the French island of Le Levant. The Yelkouan Shearwater is endemic to Mediterranean islands, nests on the ground, and is described as clumsy. This makes the birds’ survival very vulnerable to the aggressive feral cats.
