Half Dome Cables And Permit Requirement to Continue

The Sacramento Bee reported Yosemite National Park will continue to keep the cables on Half Dome and the limited permit plan will become permanent. Permits will continue to be required to go up the cable route to the top of Half Dome and limited to 400 per day. Some Environmental groups opposed keeping the cable hand rail stating it was out of place in a wilderness.
