Cockatoo Can Make Tools

BBC Nature  reported on the surprising discovery that a Goffin’s Cockatoo has the ability to make and use tools. The bird, which was captive bred, was observed breaking off splinters from a wooden beam and using them to reach for nuts. It is The birds most know for making tools in the wild are the New Caledonian Crows in the Corvid family.
