Global Bird Extinctions Increasing

Birdlife Community reported a new study documented an increase in the number of bird extinctions. 270 bird species  or subspecies have gone disappeared in the last 500 years. The rate of extinction was at its highest in the early 20th century, had declined until early 20th century but has again increased. The main cause of extinctions has been the destruction of habitat for agriculture.
