Superior National Forest posted the following Fall Foliage Report

Current Conditions 10/04/12: The past few days have been perfect for autumn leaves; unfortunately, the next few are not going to be so good.  While about 75-50% of the leaves are still on the trees, a winter storm with predicted 40 mph winds, rain, snow, and temps into the teens may leave us with little in the way of fall color by the end of the weekend.
