Lake Sabrina Fall Foliage 9/30/12

Lake Sabrina Boat Landing posted the following fall color report for Lake Sabrina in the Eastern Sierra:

Well, the leaves surrounding Lake Sabrina reached their peak and are starting to drop and we still haven’t seen the 30s yet.

  1. Just returned from Bishop Creek Canyon. Still good color both above and below bridge construction (below Lake Sabrina), but black spots starting to show. Color just coming into Aspendell now. North Lake is a mixed bag and not impressive. South Fork road is still the best bet, goldens now turning orange in many areas. Lower campgrounds are just starting to show.

    • Thanks for the report. Sounds like South Lake is the place to be.
