Plumas County Wildflowers

Plumas County is a great wildflower spot for June and early July. Butterfly Valley, Feather River Highway and Oakland Camp are some of the better sites for early bloom. Gold Lakes Basin is best for later in the season.  Here are three wildflower drives recently posted by Charlie Russell on his California Wildflower Hikes Blog

A good source for information on the Lakes Basin is Toni Farver’s Wildflower Walking in the Lakes Basin of the Northern Sierra.
