Today I went to the UC Botanical Garden (Berkeley,CA) to see what flowers were blooming. It was good weather for close-up photography as it was a bright overcast day with nice diffuse light and only a slight breeze. I spent most of the time in the California Natives section. Some of the native species showing a lot of bloom were Wild Currants and Gooseberries, California Poppies, Ceanothus, Trilliums, Giant Coreopsis, Wallflowers and Sonoma Sage. Many other species were also in bloom including lupines, fawn lilies, Star Zigadene, Coast Iris and Island Mallow. Here are today’s photos:
