New BLM Wind Energy Proposal May Be Good News For Birds

The American Bird Conservancy reports that the new rules from the U. S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) on competitive leasing for wind and solar projects may be beneficial to birds. The BLM will be setting up wind energy development zones. The American Bird Conservancy is developing map that will help identify sites that are most risky for birds and hopes to take part in helping to set up the zones.
