The Sacramento Bee  reported that California will reconsidered endangered status for American Pika.  In 2009 California Fish and Game declined to give the Pika protected status.  Since then new research has shown that the Pika’s habit is shrinking. In February 2011 a judged ruled that a new review be conducted to reconsider if the Pika should be given endangered protections.
