Kern River Valley Autumn Nature & Vulture Festival 
 in Weldon,CA is 
September 24, 2011.  The Kern River Valley is in the Southern Sierra and is the site of one of the U.S. and Canada’s largest known Turkey Vulture migrations and the height of fall landbird migration at desert oases. Activities include birds, vultures, geology, botany, natural history, native American studies, moths, reptiles, and children’s activities.
