CarsonNow.org published an article today on Carson Pass Wildflowers. They report that wildflowers have started to bloom but expect that they will peak in a week in spite of there still being snow drifts in many areas. Currently in bloom at Frog Lake are Mules Ears, Lupine, Paintbrush and Buttercups. Personally, I would call the Carson Pass Visitor Center (209-258-8606) before heading up and get the current report.
