Natural History Wanderings 
I was raised in a foster home in Angwin. As a little boy I often saw this purple/blue wildflower all around our neighborhood which was directly across the street from Howell Mtn School. Any idea of what flower I’m speaking of?

It would be difficult to ID the flower without a photo. You might try the NAPA CNPS if you can come up with a picture or description. http://www.napavalleycnps.org
