The Anza Borrego State Park has published a new wildflower report suggesting now is the beginning of the time to visit for wildflowers. Rains and warm temperatures this past fall and winter have led to an early bloom. Annuals and shrubs are blooming in washes and western canyons. Freezes will result in there not being the large displays of Sand Verbena and Desert Sunflower north of Borrego Springs. To read the full report go to Anza Borrego Desert State Park Wildflower Report . Go to Map and Description PDF for a map and list of nine areas in the park with what is blooming in each area.
