David Arora will speak at the Sonoma County Mycological Society on Thursday November 18 7pm at the Sonoma County Farm Bureau at 970 Piner Rd Santa Rosa, CA 95403

“David Arora is an American mycologist, naturalist, and writer. He has written several books and articles, the best known of which are Mushrooms Demystified & All That the Rain Promises, and More. Most recently he was a major contributor to a special ethnomycological issue of Economic Botany, a peer-reviewed journal published by the New York Botanical Garden.

David Arora has suggested/helped arrange our November speakers for the last three years and offered to come himself this time. His interests range from mushroom harvest and usage around the world to mushroom ecology, taxonomy, cuisine, culture and storytelling. All of these subjects will be touched upon, in one way or another, during his presentation, ‘The Wheel of Fungi: Chapter 8’.

David says of his presentation: ‘Without giving too much away, I will be giving something away.'”
