This morning I wandered around the UC Botanical Garden. I got there right after it opened both in hopes of finding more subjects in the shade and as it might be cooler. I succeeded on both accounts. In the Bay Area we get spoiled around weather. We don’t like it very hot or cold. We had no grounds to complain about our high 80’s to 90’s today though as it hit 113 in LA that not only broke the all time record for high temperature but also broke the National Weather Service’s thermometer. Back to the Botanical Garden there are still many plants around and for sale from the weekend plant sale. There was also plenty in the garden to see and photograph. Below is some of what I noticed today.
