Natural History Wanderings

I went up to Blake Garden today to see what was in bloom and do a rather unusual photography exercise.  Take good flower photos on a sunny day in the early afternoon.  I also made the assignment more difficult than usual by not  bringing my diffuser.  I did bring a small reflector, which I occasionally used, and worked with finding shaded plants, dark backgrounds and backlight.  See some of my results in today’s slideshow.  For more information about Blake Garden see the post from March 15  A Secret Garden – Blake .
