The 2010 Bring Back the Natives Garden Tour is Sunday, May 2 from 10:00–5:00. It is a free self-guided tour of more than 50 gardens located throughout Alameda and Contra Costa counties, CA. It includes gardens that provide habitat for wildlife, are pesticide-free, conserve water, and contain 50% or more native plants. Registration and information is at: Bring Back the Natives Garden Tour .
I just went to Annie’s Annuals in Richmond, CA. They are a local “growing” nursery and have a large selection of reasonably priced native plants. Plants are in 4″ pots and are grown without the use of growth regulating hormones, which are commonly used by most large plant growers. Annie’s Annuals & Perennials
