Birding the Garden – Autumn
Join East Bay Regional Parks District Naturalists Paula and Melissa to see what migratory birds are passing through the Garden! Due to the diversity of plants and habitats represented in the Botanic Garden, there’s always a great variety of bird species to observe there. We’ll have binoculars to loan. Activity Level: Easy

Únase con Naturalistas Paula y Melissa de East Bay Regional Parks District para observar las aves migratorias que están de paso en el Jardín Botánico. Family Friendly Tour — California Native People and Plants
On this free docent-led tour, you’ll play the traditional Miwok game of staves, grind acorns, and even wash your hands with soap plant root. You will see California Native artifacts and the plants that are used to make them, as well as learn about plants that are important food sources.

Wreathmaking Workshop
Learn how to make beautiful gift wreaths! Naturalist James Wilson will demonstrate how to construct a lovely seasonal wreath using plant materials cut and collected from the Regional Parks Botanic Garden. James will explain how to make a wreath while also providing information on the plants used to construct your wreath. You will be able to make your own one-of-a-kind wreath to take home and show off to your family and friends, or to give as a present to that special someone.
