Is Los Angeles Home to the Most Looked-Through Telescope in the World?

The New York Times  reports

Roughly seven million people have looked through the main telescope at Griffith Observatory.

    The 60" scope on Mt Wilson, just north of LA, is also open for viewing although a bit of a drive.
