California Water Regulators Still Haven’t Considered the Growing Body of Research on the Risks of Oil Field Wastewater

The Central Valley Water Board says such “produced water” is safe for irrigating crops in Kern County but never reviewed its long-term impacts on plants, soil, crops and wildlife. “We know enough to know we better be careful,” one scientist said.
