California Fall Color is reporting very good color in a number of places in the Sierra including Hope Valley, Carson Pass, Inyo National Forest and Bishop Creek. See reports and photos at California Fall Color.

Natural History Wanderings 
I had considered a Hwy 395 trip but with the Nat Forests being closed and smoke I opted for a trip to the Arizona Strip and southern UT returning through NV Oct 14-23 more or less. Trip will include Zion area and Cedar Breaks area where I have found good aspen color over the years.
Will return through Bishop then down 395/14 home
