Friends of the Carrizo Plain reports
As of 3/7 flowers are coming along but still have a ways to go. Some good displays of early flower species such as Goldfields and Filaree, particularly between Panorama Road and KCL Campground. Starting to see Hillside Daisies on south facing slopes at the north end of the Monument and various spots on the valley floor.
Visitors are reminded to bring a full tank of gas, food, water, and layers as Carrizo Plain is a very remote location with no services. Most roads are dirt and secondary roads such as Simmler and Panorama may not be passable.
