For the October Big Day we went birding at the Elsie Roemer Bird Sanctuary in Alameda, CA. Most abundant were the shorebirds. Black-bellied Plovers, Marbled Godwits, Willets, and Western Sandpipers were all in the 100’s. It was also a good day to see Egrets, Terns, and Pelicans. We saw 24 different species.
