Lassen National Park Facebook page has the following new updates on road openings
June 3 -It’s official! The annual Hike and Bike the Highway Day will be Saturday, June 11 this year. Walkers and bicyclists are welcome to enjoy the 30 miles of the Lassen National Park Highway without vehicles. The road will open to vehicles on Sunday, June 12. http://ow.ly/QyIN300Tyzn
June 4 – The road on the south side of the park has been opened to the Bumpass Hell Parking Area. You can walk or ride your bike along the road beyond the closure as crews work to remove snow. The road is expected to open to vehicle traffic on June 12. The trail to the Bumpass Hell Basin remains closed due to ice and snow.
