The East Bay Times reports on more land for the Bay Trail. 345 miles of the 500 mile now exist of the planned trail to go around San Francisco Bay

Golden Gate Fields has agreed to donate an easement for 4.88 acres of waterfront property to the East Bay Regional Park District for the Bay Trail.

The land has been the subject of many years of negotiations, as well as an eminent domain action in 2011. Located behind the racetrack grandstand, it has been used by the public for years.

The donated property runs from Albany Beach to Gilman Street in Berkeley.
