Birds Face Danger From Deforestation, Oil Spills & Climate Change

The Ottawa Citizen reports

One-third of North American bird species are “in crisis” and another half face serious trouble says the first analysis of all the birds in Canada, the United States and Mexico. The birds run a gamut of dangers from deforestation to oil spills at sea to climate change. But habitat loss is the broadest threat, according to The State of North America’s Birds 2016.
