Sandy, thanks so much! I had photos of Mariposa Lilys (two colors) from a trip to Mt Diablo two weeks ago. But when I went to confirm them through Google Photos, I could not get a good match. Do you have a book to recommend for identification of wild flowers that has the common names and good photos.
Enjoyed seeing you and your wife at Alameda Wild.

Two books you might find helpful are
Plants of the San Francisco Bay Region by Beidleman and Kozloff (second edition) – has plant keys, drawings and photos.
Plants of the East Bay Parks – by Keator – has plant keys and drawings
a good website with accurately identified photos is CalPhotos calphotos.berkeley.edu
