Solano Land Trust Flickr Site reports on Rockville Trails
Hiked Rockville Trails, in further commentary to be identified as RT, yesterday. Found more growing and flowering than anticipated. Cardamine or milkmaids, bitter cress, Cynoglossum grande or Hound’s tongue, Ranunculus or Buttercups, Pedicularis densiflora or Indian warrior, Eriophyllum lanatum var. arachnoideum or Spiderweb sunflower, Fritillaria affinis or Mission bells, Harmonia nutans or Nodding harmonia, Artemisia californica or Coast sagebrush, Erigeron bioletti or Streamside daisy, Clematis lasiantha or Chaparral clematis, Lomatium californicum, Phacelia distans or common phacelia, Wyethia glabra or Coast mule ears, Sanicula bipinnitifida or Purple sanicle, Dichelostemma capitatum or Wild hyacinth, Calandrinia ciliate or Red maids, Lasthenia californica or Common goldfields, Plagiobothrys nothofulvous or Rusty popcorn flower, Lomatium repostum or Napa lomatium, Collinsia sparsiflora var. arvensis or Field Collins, Marah fabaceus var. arrests or California man root or wild cucumber, Nemophila menzesii var. atomaria or Baby blueness, Helianthella californica or California helianthella and Lewisia rediviva var. rediviva.
Approximately half of the above noted flora were in bloom and others were showing themselves above the soil. With more rain ahead a more robust bloom may well be in sight.
