El Niño Closures In Golden Gate National Recreation Area

SF Gate reports

El Niño’s rainy and windy conditions have left parks in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area threatened with flooded trails, eroding cliffs and a variety of other safety hazards, prompting officials on Friday to close off sections of three parks. Officials announced the public will not be allowed access to certain parts of Tennessee Valley in Mill Valley, the Marin Headlands Walk-in Campgrounds and Fort Funston in San Francisco for safety concerns.

At Fort Funston, the north beach access trail is expected to be closed all winter.

Hawk and Haypress Campgrounds in the Marin Headlands will be closed from Jan. 15 to March 31
