California’s Top Ten Rivers

The Nature Conservancy published an article on California’s Top Ten Unique Rivers. It talks about the diverse and endemic collection of native plants, insects and fish unique to California rivers.The Nature Conservancy reports on what are some of unique and interesting species as well as the number of endemics found along each river at: California’s Top Ten Unique Rivers

Rivers included are:

  • Tuolumne River
  • Lower Sacramento River
  • Santa Ana River
  • Cache Creek/Clear Lake
  • Lower Pit River
  • Lost River
  • Owens River
  • San Francisco Bay Southern Streams
  • Upper Klamath River
  • Amargosa River
