Oregon Wildflower Updates 3/29/15

Oregon Wildflowers has two new reports for 3/29/15

Mount Pisgah Arboretum 3/29/15 the following wildflowers are in bloom along the Summit Trail: Oregon fawn lily (Erythronium oregonum), Western Trillium (Trillium ovatum), Spring Beauty (Claytonia lanceolata), Baby Blue Eyes (Nemophila menziesii var. atomaria), Great Hound’s-Tongue (Cynoglossum grande) in wooded areas, Henderson’s Shooting Star (Dodecatheon hendersonii), occasional Common Camas (Camassia quamash), Oregon Geranium (Geranium oreganum, and Oregon Iris (Iris Tenax) and Western Snake Root (Sanicula crassicaulis) just starting.

The Dales Mountain Ranch 3/29/15  the balsamroot is peaking below the ranch (e.g., on the new lower loop), nearing its peak at the ranch, and diminishing as one climbs higher toward Stacker Butte. Lupine is blooming but not at its peak yet, even at lower elevations.
