There were few wildflowers near the shore but nothing worth mentioning.

Twin Lakes (North Cascades) — May 31, 2014 — North Cascades — Mount Baker Highway

The views were grand, even saw some wild flowers and a cougar.

Ingalls Creek — May 31, 2014 — Central Cascades — Blewett Pass

So many wildflowers! I don’t think I’ve ever seen as many trilliums in one place. Lupin and paintbrush and a bunch of other things I can’t even identify were out in abundance too.

Kachess Ridge / Kachess Beacon — May 31, 2014 — Snoqualmie Pass — Snoqualmie Pass

Beautiful wildflowers near the start of the trail and at the top.

Lake Caroline — May 31, 2014 — Central Cascades — Leavenworth Area
Abundant wildflowers, grand views, meadows, and snow higher up

Capitol State Forest – Mima Falls — Olympics — SW Washington
We saw lots of wildflowers

Duckabush River — May 31, 2014 — Olympics — East
tons of woodland flowers among lush green ferns against the ghost forest of the burn

Oyster Dome — May 30, 2014 — Puget Sound and Islands — North Sound
a lot of pretty little flowers and many lovely ferns.

White Chuck River — May 30, 2014 — North Cascades — Mountain Loop Highway
This was an easy hike with spring in full bloom and one area of the road opened up to some great views of the river and Mount Pugh. This is a nice area that does not seem to see many visitors.

Black Canyon — May 29, 2014 — Central Washington — Yakima
This is getting a toward the end of prime flower season but there were still plenty of flowers to see.

Pete Lake — May 28, 2014 — Snoqualmie Pass — Snoqualmie Pass

The wild flowers are just beginning to show, trillium and western spring beauty were abundant. The upcoming weeks should be spectacular.
