Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve SNR reports

As of May 17, there's still a few poppies, but they're pretty small and mostly yellow. And it's hot out there! There's a smattering right up the trail at the east end of the parking lot, and a couple good patches along the lower Antelope loop still going. I'd give it a couple weeks until they're completely done. The buckwheat is now flowering along the south facing slopes.
