The Bird Rescue Center presents its second annual Festival of Feathers open house event in Santa Rosa, California on Saturday April 26, 11 AM-4PM. The event is free and open to the public. Guests will be wowed by opportunities for up close encounters with the center’s majestic 22 resident birds of prey which include several species of owls, falcons and hawks. Kids of all ages will enjoy a variety of fun and educational activities. Appetizers, snacks and desserts and wines representing Sonoma County’s finest will be available. A silent auction with fantastic items offered by local artists and business will be offered. Carpooling is recommended. The Bird Rescue Center is a wild bird rehabilitation center. The mission of the Bird Rescue Center is to rescue, rehabilitate and release orphaned, injured or ill wild birds, and to educate the public regarding the ecological importance and natural history of these birds.Our purpose is to assist the public in the rescue of injured, orphaned or ill birds. We are licensed by State and Federal Fish and Wildlife agencies to treat and release these birds back into the wild. The Bird Rescue Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We provide service throughout the North San Francisco Bay Area.
