DesertUSA has a wildflower update for the Mojave National Preserve:
April 1: in addition to the continued magnificent bloom, I have a few good finds: blooming Claret cup cactus along Cedar Cyn Rd; blooming Silver cholla and a hillside covered with Gooding’s verbena along Black Cyn Rd., and eerily dark, velvety Little leaf Mojave Indigo bush along Essex Rd. I also found some towering, blooming Rush milkweed along Rte 66 heading west toward Amboy from Essex Rd.
