Calphoto had the following wildflower report  for the Buckeye trail at Mt. Diablo

I had an opportunity yesterday to visit Mt.Diablo at the end of the day
yesterday and caught some nice photos of the very nice patch of poppies.
The big hill I took photos of last year is much less colorful this year.
My friend and I hiked out just over a mile on the Buckeye trail. There
were a few fiddlenecks and a few blue dicks. Grass is greening up the
hills but I can’t tell if it will get the usual neon green of past years.
